To anyone out there who has been researching a Kelly family that immigrated to New York prior to 1850, good luck. There must be 1000 James Kelly families that came to America during the time of the huge migration before 1900 and settled in New York. They came either from the famine or the evictions, looking for a new and better life in this wonderful place.
To all of you who have been searching I wish you success. My journey has been going on for 11 years. I have some information, but many pieces are missing.
I am hoping that you, my fellow Kellys, may be able to fill in my missing pieces. If any of these individuals seem that they may have been related to your Kellys, please forward your information.

This area of Wyckoff Street, Warren Street and Smith Streets is known as either Boerum Hill or Carroll Gardens. Today, I understand this section of Brooklyn where the old Irish lived, is living through a nice rejuvenation with many restaurants and shops.
Photos taken this Labor Day 2009 on our boat trip to Brooklyn. The beautiful Brooklyn
Bridge and from within the River Cafe, located almost right under the Bridge on the Brooklyn side. What a treat.
